Newboro Manor is a handsome early Canadian stone house whose Italianate character, generous proportions and beautifully preserved details give it a distinctive presence in the village. Built c.1860, the Manor carries more than a century and a half of stories within its stone walls.

The house has a long history of hospitality, and Makers at the Manor continues that tradition by opening its doors for this special holiday gathering. This is not a museum or a recreated historic interior. Newboro Manor remains a private home, lived in and loved today, which makes the opportunity to experience it from room to room particularly special.

Original woodwork, handsome crown moulding, tall windows and dazzling chandeliers create the backdrop as artists and artisans bring their work into the rooms of the house. Historic architecture, contemporary creative practice and holiday decoration come together to create an experience that belongs very particularly to this place.

For Makers at the Manor, the house will be dressed for the holidays with greenery, wreaths, lights and seasonal details, allowing visitors to experience the warmth and character of an early Canadian country manor brought beautifully to life for the season.
